Brenda Thurgood

Long standing close friend and supporter to the whole Heppell family, Brenda has been more than just a critic. She has been there and put herself out to help Len and Elsie especially during the more difficult times, for which the family is eternally grateful. Len also counts on Brenda as being a 'constructive' critic of his work and is always pleased to share his latest piece, irrespective of its reception. 

Elsie Heppell

Elsie has been a devoted wife and career long supporter of the emerging artist, most notably telling him what she liked and didn't like about his work. Elsie has accompanied Len on the many 'theme' weeks, artists trips and has been by Len's side during the long hours he has devoted to his scenes and subjects. The famous 'Apple and the Blue Banana' has probably been the creation that Elsie mentions the most. To this day she tells her three grandchildren that it was probably not his best work but that it was sufficient inspiration to go on to produce the stunning work now showcased in this website. She hopes that every visitor to this website takes something away and that they will be inspired by one or more of the pictures in his portfolio.
